Privacy policy

The short version

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party scripts or fonts, and contains no tracking pixels. If you simply read it, we learn nothing about you at all.

The only personal data we receive is what you type into the enquiry form and send us. We use it to reply. We do not sell it, rent it, profile you with it, or add you to a mailing list.

Who is responsible for your data

Offsetease decides why and how any personal data from this site is handled — in EU and UK terms, the controller; in Indian terms, the Data Fiduciary.

Questions, requests and complaints all go to info@offsetease.com, which reaches a person, not a queue.

What we collect, and when

If you send an enquiry: your name, work email address, company, the topic you select, and your message if you write one. Nothing is pre-filled from anywhere else, and nothing is inferred.

If you email or call us: whatever you choose to put in that email or say on that call.

Server logs. This site is served by a static web host. Like every web server, it records the request — IP address, timestamp, the page requested, and your browser's user-agent string — for delivery and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to identify visitors and we do not combine them with anything else.

Why we hold it, and on what legal basis

Solely to answer your enquiry and continue the conversation you started, and — if that becomes an engagement — to deliver it.

Under the UK and EU GDPR the basis is your consent, given by ticking the box and submitting the form, and thereafter our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry we were asked to respond to. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 the basis is your consent, given for the specific purpose described at the point of collection.

You can withdraw consent at any time. It is as easy to withdraw as it was to give: one email.

Who else handles it

Web3Forms delivers the enquiry form to our inbox and processes your submission on our behalf. Their privacy terms: web3forms.com/privacy.

Our email provider hosts the mailbox your enquiry lands in.

Our web host serves these pages and keeps the server logs described above.

Each acts on our instructions, for these purposes only. We do not disclose enquiry data to anyone else except where the law requires it.

Where it goes

We are based in India and our processors operate internationally, so your data may be handled outside your own country — including outside the EEA and the UK. Where that happens for EEA or UK data we rely on the appropriate safeguards in Chapter V of the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become an engagement are deleted within 24 months.

Where an enquiry becomes a client engagement, the records are kept for the life of the engagement and then for as long as our statutory, tax and professional obligations require — after which they are deleted.

Server logs are retained only for the short period our host keeps them for operational and security purposes.

How it is protected

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries travel encrypted in transit, reach a small number of named people, and are held in access-controlled accounts. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we collect little, keep it briefly, and share it with almost no one, which is the most effective protection available.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, complete it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, send you a portable copy, or withdraw your consent. Email info@offsetease.com and we will act within 30 days.

We will not charge you for this, and we will not ask why.

If you are in the EEA or the UK and you are unhappy with how we have handled a request, you may complain to your national supervisory authority. If you are in India, you may raise a grievance with us first and then escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

Automated decisions, and children

We make no automated decisions about you and carry out no profiling.

This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the date shown at the top of this page and, where the change affects data we already hold, tell the people affected.
